13 O'Clock Blues Band
is a Harmonically Tuned electric blues ensemble comprised of 3 electric guitars, autoharp, vocals, electric bass and drums. Man /Woman Boogie and Parallel Blues, both staples in the ensemble's repertoire, are long form minimalist style pieces tapping into and fully exploring the novel musical concepts of Harmonic Rhythm and Harmonic Lyrics, ideas developed by Jon Catler. Catler has worked for more than 20 years with La Monte Young, including recent performances of Young's Just Alap Raga Ensemble at the Guggenheim this March.
